Chieli Minucci and Special EFX will be celebrating 30 years of recording and touring with the release of the new album “Genesis” on May 21.  Along with Minucci, the album features long time band members including drummer Lionel Cordew, Bassist, Jerry Brooks, and keyboardist Jay Rowe and saxman David Mann returns. Guest artists include percussionist Mino Cinelu and drummer Omar Hakim (both have played with Weather Report, Miles Davis, Sting, and numerous others) and TIZER band mates Lao Tizer and Karen Briggs and newcomer vocalistss Xu Feiyu and Victor Starksy.
