George Benson has written an autobiography that will be released this summer and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.
“Benson: The Autobiography” tracks his 50 year career from his childhood in the ghettos of Pittsburgh through is rise to stardom and his experiences recording, performing, and becoming one of the genre’s most notable and influential artists. He shares stories of traveling and recording with jazz legends, including Miles Davis and Brother Jack McDuff, as well as his emergence as a pioneer jazz/soul crossover artist who broke barriers and sales records with his multiformat hits beginning in the 1970s and continuing through the present with his recent release: Inspiration: A Tribute To Nat King Cole
